Sierra & Sage is created by stylists for stylists. Our education is led by our educators with over 30 years of experience, with the help of our marketing team, each aspired to support other stylists by sharing their industry knowledge. Occasionally, Sierra & Sage brings a guest educator to assist with our classes - each vetted and trained directly by our team with years of experience. Each one of our educators brings something unique to our education courses, providing the total extension education package both online and in person.

Melissa
Founder & CEO
Melissa has been a stylist for over 12 years. She is a third generation salon professional and has always had a passion for hair. Her first salon opened in 2013 in an 800 sq. ft space with zero employees. Today, she owns a 5,500 sq. ft salon with over 30 employees. She truly has a passion for educating in a salon setting and has trained over 10 stylists in the last 5 years through her salon’s Associate Program. One of her greatest passions behind the chair is extensions. After doing them for almost 10 years, getting certified and working with several methods, she realized there was a gap in the industry. And so, Sierra & Sage was born - a brand that exceeds quality standards, is ethically sourced, and represents & empowers women of all shapes and sizes!

Kenzie
Director of Edu
Kenzie has always had an affinity for blonding, balayage, and all things LIVED IN. But most importantly, she loves creating multi-dimensional blends with extensions, which helps elevate her artistic freedom. Offering hand tied extensions to her clients has transformed her career because she has been able to influence her clients confidence by helping them get hair results they didn’t think they could achieve. She loves educating and being able to see the spark ignite in fellow stylists, not only for their career but for their clients.

Emma’s passion for the hair industry runs in the family and has only grown since being an extension client with Melissa. With a degree in Communication Studies, and with over 5 years of experience, she now serves as our full-time Sales & Marketing Manager. Through her passion for sales and marketing, she finds empowerment when creating personal connections with stylists in the Nevada/PNW area. She is always available and happy to help each of her stylists to make working behind the chair even easier. Emma is proud to get to represent the quality and mission of Sierra and Sage throughout her region and surrounding states, hoping to bring confidence to all women.
Alex
Sales & Marketing

Northern CA + Colorado Rep
Alex is a Nevada local who found her love for the industry after working for Melissa’s salon. She has made connections with many stylists in her hometown and in neighboring states she’s found home in. Her love for travel has brought her to live in Nevada, Idaho and Southern California where she still travels to see family, friends and spread the message of our brand. When she isn’t working, Alex enjoys spending time with her dog, Cash, fishing and seeing friends. She finds joy in supporting stylists in their extension journey and assisting in making clients feel their most beautiful.
