Spring 2025 Hair Trends

Updated: Mar 25

Spring is officially here and with a new season comes later sunsets, brighter days, warmer weather and of course new hair trends. Whether you are looking to change up your own hair, your clients’, or are just looking for a quick update, there are 3 categories we've organized - Color, Haircuts & Styling. Based on our research and talking with other hairstylists about what they are getting the most requests for behind the chair, we have compiled a list of the hottest hair trends making waves in the industry currently.

Colors

The color trend this season is much like spring and getting a fresh start. Natural color is all the rage and we've noticed a lot of lived-in color and balayage looks coming into the salon. Even outside the salon space, social media has been pushing out a lot of lived-in color looks and clients choosing to go back to their natural color rather than continuing to blonde or color their hair. When there are blonding services, there have been a lot more balayage looks and subtle highlights. Clients may even add extensions of a different shade to add their own custom color blend to their hair without a color service.

Cuts

This season, there’s no shortage of trendy haircuts to choose from. One look that’s making waves is bangs or face-framing with long layers. While this style may require a bit more styling, it’s been a go-to for those looking to add a little extra flair to their hair. Another haircut that’s taking the industry by storm is the shag cut. With it being a super layered look, it’s definitely one of the most sought-after styles right now. And let’s not forget about the classic short, blunt bob! Whether on clients or celebrities, the bob remains a favorite. Many are even opting to trim their extensions along with their natural hair to keep that sleek, shorter look with plenty of density.

Styling

Lastly, the styles being worn are constantly changing, and here are the most popular ones we've seen requested. Along with natural hair color, many are wearing their natural hair texture. Also the trend of wavy beach curls is a super common hairstyle, especially after leaving the salon. Another popular style is big bouncy blowouts. This trend always seems to come back around and it will continue to do so. It is a timeless look that anyone can rock with any hair length. With these hairstyling trends circling, there has been a huge push with the use of heatless curlers to save their hair from heat damage and wake up with beautiful hair - super creative and keeping hair healthy is always a win!
